New City Internship Application

New City Initiatives is a ministry of New City Fellowship located in Tulsa, OK. Our mission is to work together for the flourishing of our neighbors. We do this primarily through our after-school clubs— Kid’s Club and Music Club which are hosted at Burroughs Elementary School.

If you are looking for a place to learn and grow in how to serve a neighborhood, make disciples, and use the gifts God has given you for His Kingdom work, New City Initiative may be a great internship opportunity for you!

What we offer:

A 13 week Christian internship that may count as volunteer/ community service hours
A weekly mentorship small group
Opportunity for real world experience in teaching and leading school-aged students
Opportunity to mentor school-ages kids in our city
A $1,000 honorarium

This is a great fit if:

You have a desire to learn and grow in Christian Community

You want to use your God-given gifts for God’s glory
(Optional)- You are a musician and love music!

Time Commitment:

2p-4:15p Monday's (except for officially scheduled breaks) - 2.25 hrs
2p-3:45 Wednesday's (except for officially scheduled breaks)1.75 hrs
11a-12:30p on Sundays for worship with the community 1.5 hrs
TBD, an additional hour and a half of discipleship group 1.5 hrs
Unscheduled time for reading and reflection 1-3 hrs
